Free talk/Recent updates 

It’s been a busy month for Sakisaka in regards to her workload - despite her taking a ‘break’ from AHR, she’s released a 40 page oneshot and a 17 page AHR collab with Aruko - so it’s not much of a break after all, is it? :)

Who else thought that Ore Raido was completely hilarious? I never could have imagined Kou having any of those expressions. Somehow, the pain of having to wait another month for the next ‘proper’ chapter has been eased quite a bit, in my opinion. 

Regarding Sono Omo, a lot of people have been saying that Mako, the main lead, looks like Futaba with Narumi’s hairstyle. I think she looks like Futaba with Ninako’s hair, but in black. Chibi Manga are up for scanlating it, so look out for that.

I assume that Volume 8 will only contain 3 chapters (Ch. 28, 29, 30) and Sono Omo as the additional oneshot to compensate for the page numbers (not sure about Ore Raido, though, if it’ll be also included in Ore Monogatari’s Vol. 3, since it’s a collaboration?). 

Fear not, less than 29 days to Chapter 30!

Ore Ride (Ao Haru Ride x Ore Monogatari! crossover) translation

Ahahaha, with all the excitement over E3 I totally forgot this happened. Well, Ore Monogatari and Ao Haru Ride have been crossing paths a lot lately, and now a fun collaboration with a Freaky Friday spin has been published! I was hoping for the other characters besides Kou and Takeo to interact, but it’s okay. I have a feeling Sunakawa and Shuuko would be very good friends (shiiiip?). Also, this one-shot confirms that the reason why Kou’s late to school a lot was because he played with his cat too much. Haha!

This one-shot is HILARIOUS. Kou in hot pants (as far as I can see) and behaving waaaaayyyyy more enthusiastic than he usually is. I feel this one-shot somehow makes up for the absence of AHR Chapter 30 this month.

Unfortunately, it seems that we will not be getting a proper Ao Haru Ride chapter this month (ch. 30) in Betsuma’s July Issue (#7). According to a tweet by Sakisaka-sensei, there will only be her oneshot entitled “Sono Omokage wo Shitteru” along with her collaboration with Aruko’s Ore Monogatari!! entitled “Ore Raido” released this issue on 13th June.

Chapter 30 will be released in the August issue (#8) of Betsuma instead, in July.
